Article One

DUTIES OF OFFICERS

SECTION 1.

The President shall call and preside over all meetings and supervise the activities of the

club.  The President shall be custodian of the keys for the locked file cabinet

containing all past minutes and records.

SECTION 2.

The First Vice President shall preside over club meetings in the absence of the President, be the

director of the regular monthly club tournament, purchase all trophies and patches

and be in charge of publicity for club functions.

SECTION 3.

The Second Vice President shall preside over club meetings in the absence of the President and First Vice.  He/she will assist the S.I.T. Director, report to the Board of directors on the S.I.T., and be in charge of the President’s scrap book and membership drive.

SECTION 4.

The Secretary shall keep a complete, up to date record, of the meetings of the club. Provide copies of each Board of Director and General Meeting’s minutes to each Board of Director. Keep all minutes up to date and have them available at each Board of Director and General Meeting. If unable to attend, he/she shall see that the President has the minutes prior to the meeting.  The Secretary will also be custodian of a second set of keys for the locked file cabinet

SECTION 5.

Treasurer/Sergeant at Arms shall see the meeting is kept orderly and shall evict any  repeated violators.  He/she shall pay all bills upon order of the Board of Directors.  He/she shall collect all monies and items due the club.  He/she shall make a monthly report at each club meeting.  Two keys to the Post Office Box are to be kept by two officers, usually the Treasurer and President.

SECTION 6.

The Board of Directors will have a general overall supervision of the activities of the club and will act in an advisory capacity.  The recommendations of the Directors will be subject to the approval of the general membership.  The Directors will be empowered to act in the event of unforeseen emergencies which cannot possibly be delayed until a regular club meeting. The BOD will review the absence of a member from a scheduled board meeting and vote to expel or accept the excuse of the absent member. If expelled, a replacement will be elected or appointed as soon as possible.

SECTION 7.

S.I.T. Director will be a voting, elected position under the director of the Board or Directors.  He/she must keep the Second Vice President as well as the Board of Directors informed at the General and Board of Directors meetings.  His/her expenses will be budgeted for and are not to exceed reasonable expenses.

SECTION 8.

A Director or Officer must make at Board of Directors meetings, two working club functions, and eight General Meetings in a calendar year. The Board of Directors will review the absence of a member from a scheduled event and vote to expel or accept the excuse of the absent member.  If expelled a replacement will be elected or appointed as soon as possible.

Article Two

NOMINATION AND ELECTION OF OFFICERS

SECTION 1. At the regular October General Meeting, the President shall appoint a nominating Committee composed of three members.  This committee shall report to the Board of Directors and offer their recommendations at the regular November meeting.  The President shall also receive nominations from the floor at the regular November meeting. The new officers will be elected and installed at the regular December meeting.
SECTION 2. A vacancy in any elective office shall be filled by election at the first regular meeting following said vacancy.
SECTION 3. To be able to hold office, a nominee must have fished at least 3 club tournaments the year before.

DUES

SECTION 1. The fiscal year shall begin January 1st and end December 31st each year.
SECTION 2. The memberships for adults will include all children of adult members who are age Sixteen and under.

SECTION 1.

The President may appoint such committee chairman as, in his judgment, is necessary to the welfare of the club.

ORDER OF BUSINESS

SECTION 1.

The order of business for meetings shall be

  1. Registration

  2. Reading and approval of minutes of previous meeting.

  3. Reporting and approval of the Treasurer’s report

  4. Announcements

  5. Reports of officers

  6. Reports of standing committees

  7. Reports of special committees.

  8. Old business.

  9. New business

  10. Program

  11. Adjournment.

Article Six

REGULATIONS

SECTION 1. No absentee or proxy vote shall be recognized by the club.
SECTION 2. The club will assume no responsibility for any unauthorized indebtedness incurred by any member
SECTION 3. The club will assume no responsibility incurred at any tournament. Any member or guest  who participates in a tournament sponsored by the club does so at his/her own risk.
SECTION 4. Donations or gifts will be accepted by the Treasurer at any time for the benefit of the club.
SECTION 5. Any member convicted of a violation of the Game and Fish laws of the State of Texas will be automatically dropped from the membership for the duration of the fiscal year.  Such person may not be permitted to again join the club without 2/3 vote in his favor at a regular meeting.
